Who We are?
Southern Soul Foods began with a simple belief — that families across Australia deserve access to the same authentic South Indian flavours we grew up with. What started in our home kitchen and this has now grown into a small but passionate Gold Coast–based brand built on tradition, honesty and the joy of sharing food from our culture.
We craft our Idly/Dosa batter the traditional way: stone-ground in small batches to achieve the perfect coarse texture, then naturally fermented just as it’s been done for generations.
As our community grew, so did we. Today, Southern Soul Foods supplies 95% fresh batter across Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
And we’re only getting started. Our range also has Ragi batter and is expanding into handcrafted traditional spice Podi’s and more to come.
At Southern Soul Foods, we don’t just make food.
