Ingredients

  • Urad Dal (Black Gram)
  • Idly Rice
  • Water

How to Make Idly

  • Grease the idly moulds lightly with oil.
  • Pour the batter into the moulds.
  • Steam for about 10–12 minutes.
  • Let it cool for a minute, then remove and serve hot with chutney or sambar.

How to Make Dosa

  • Pour required batter into a
    bowl, add salt and water as needed and mix it well.
  • Heat a dosa tawa on medium flame.
  • Pour a ladle of batter and spread it in a circular motion.
  • Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges.
  • Cook till golden and crisp.
  • Serve hot with chutney or sambar.
